Well, our fall tour is over…thanks again to everyone who came out and supported Unwed Sailor…it was wonderful seeing all of you. So, the future…The White Ox and Circles are finished and will be arriving in March…they will be available on cd and vinyl. There will be tour dates to coincide with the releases…. Look for another new lineup for the spring tour….more news soon!

Our apologies for the site going down this week. We were having difficulties switching to a new server, but now it’s back up and running! Now for a quick announcement: The band is still on tour and have completely sold out of The Marionette and the Music Box digipak CDs, so you won’t be able to order them from the store anymore. However, you can still purchase the hardbound book version, which includes the CD inside. We just thought that should be clarified for those who might think that the book is only a book with no music. It’s not true.

The band would like to know which songs you’d like to hear them play on the upcoming fall tour. Voice your opinions in the Discuss section!

As the final touches are being put on the Flash version of this site, I thought I would put up the improved HTML version. Note that there is now an online store where you can purchase your fill of Unwed Sailor music. There’s more to come, so keep checking back!

The new Stateless Web book is finished! Very similar to the Circle of Birds and Marionette and the Music Box Web books, you can listen to all five tracks from Unwed Sailor and Early Day Miners and view Chris Bennett’s photographs as you do so. The forum, which seems to have started quite nicely yesterday, is now back online, after bizarre server troubles (see below). Also, there are now five more MP3s to download in the Media section, including a rare little piece in the form of “Firecracker 2001.” Check it out.

There is a new Unwed Sailor forum available now, which you can go to right here. The full site development is coming along pretty well, and I hope to have many other, much more animated sections up soon. For now, enjoy the forum!

UPDATE: Sorry, everyone. There is some massive server error that knocked out all the message boards I was hosting on that server, including the Unwed Sailor one. Hopefully it’ll be back up and running soon, but as of right now there’s nothing I can do since it appears to have just shut down for no good reason.

UPDATE 2: After speaking with technical support, they said an “emergency error” occurred on the server that was holding the Unwed Sailor message board database, as well as another board I run. Who knows why, but I guess it should be resolved within 24 hours. Thanks a lot to all those who have signed up and posted thus far! Good to see it being used! Hopefully this won’t happen again…
